Resource Sharing
Globally and locally our ecosystems’ ability to support life is threatened due to extreme wildfires and weather events, drought, desertification, demand for resources, and much more. We believe ALL of us have a role to play in stewarding and restoring our local ecologies.
In 2018, the Camp Fire devastated our communities, which propelled our group into action - seeking to offer healing and community resilience through ecological restoration.

Our Work
WHAT WE DO
Land
Acknowledgment
We acknowledge and are mindful that we live on lands that were originally occupied by the first people of this area, the Maidu and other tribes, who continue to live on these lands. We recognize their deep knowledge about and distinctive spiritual relationship with the land, the flora, the fauna, and the waters. We therefore commit to support and align our work with the Indigenous peoples who sustain and are sustained by this land.
Equity & Inclusion
Camp Fire Restoration Project believes our mission is most effectively fulfilled through a commitment to equity and inclusion as core values and practices. We work together with our staff, Board of Directors, members, volunteers, other nonprofits, funders and stakeholders to create and support diverse and inclusive communities. We think that building and sustaining equity requires an ongoing commitment to inclusion that must find full expression in our organizational culture, values, norms and behaviors. Throughout our work, we support diversity across all lines of difference, including age, economic circumstance, ethnicity, sex, race, range of ability, religion, sexual orientation, and gender identity/expression.
